Hose Testing
Annual testing of chemical hose assemblies is required at a minimum and should be performed more frequently under severe service conditions. Hose service life is influenced by media compatibility, temperature, pressure, abrasion, and environmental exposure. A formal testing program is critical to identifying degradation and preventing unsafe failures.
We provide on-site and in-house inspection and certification of petrochemical hose assemblies. Each hose is visually inspected for kinks, exposed reinforcement, and material deterioration, followed by hydrostatic testing at 150% of the rated working pressure for five minutes. Any leakage, seepage, or abnormal expansion results in test failure.
Hoses that pass testing are permanently tagged with stainless steel identification tags showing the test date and hose ID. Customized testing programs are available to meet site-specific requirements.
